Presley Burton & Collier, LLC has a team of experienced lawyers dedicated to the practice of public finance law. Our practice involves all aspects of public and private offerings of taxable and tax-exempt securities for public entities and nonprofit corporations. Much of our work involves tax-exempt financings and transactions, where we provide counsel to issuers, underwriters, banks, corporations, trustees and other credit providers. We advise bond issuers, borrowers and other participants at every stage of the financing, from initial structuring and identification of borrowing needs, to obtaining necessary public approvals, approving the issuance of the obligations, filing post-issuance reports with state and federal authorities and providing advice on post-issuance compliance. We offer the full complement of legal services for those in the municipal securities market.
A special area of emphasis for our bond counsel and underwriter's counsel work has been healthcare finance and finance for 501(c)(3) entities. We also specialize in tax-exempt equipment leases, loans and other financings that require tax opinions.
